Hello All!

I just wanted to let everyone know that my business plan is done! I hav been working VERY closely with my local Small Business Development Center (the director, in fact!) and I went from having this guy not think very much of the business to going the extra mile to use his local banking contacts to get me an appointment or two or three with banks he knows are friendly to very small businesses.

So, hopefully in a week or so, I'll be able to report on even more great news (like getting funded!).

I have learned a great lesson in all of this. It is not enough that "I" love my business and think it is the best thing since sliced bread. I had to convince my mentor of the same thing and prove that I know what I'm talking about when it comes to the market, the industry and the trend both nationally and locally.

To everyone out there who is in "start-up" mode ---- keep plugging away. And before you get frustrated and discouraged and overwhelmed --- call your SBDC. It's amazing how much help they can offer!
